I have finished my 6 years quota of H1B and right now I am on TN visa (I am Canadian). Since I started the green card process a little late, I still need more time to finish the green card process. So, my question is, is there any way I can go back to H1B visa again once my TN visa expires. I can not renew my TN because I have applied already for I-140 and that shows my intent to immigrate to US.

Was your I-140 petition filed when you changed your status from H-1B to TN? In my opinion, it is the I-140 petition that discloses immigration intent. However, as the previous poster mentioned, your employer can extend H-1B after the I-140 approval. Till then I think you have to continue on TN status.

Even for my wife early last year we had issues in the PA DMV, As some others mentioned not all officers are aware of the rules. We did take the PA Fact sheet print out which clearly mentions that people with EAD should get a 1 yr license extension.

After showing the same, the officer consulted with his senior and did extend the licence. I am guessing even CT should have some official document as above which you should be able to use.
Dont worry i am sure you will get it extended soon.. As others mentioned just your bad luck.

Thanks NikNikon for the advice. I shoot everything from inside the arena so I can move between events to get the best position. Right know the strobes are out of my budget. Thanks MatsP also for your input. After your comments and talking with someone from Showcase here in Atlanta I feel much better :) about what I ended up with. This must be one of the toughest shooting environments you can come across. Do you think a bracket mounted flash would help any with the red eye? Also after 2200+ photos I am trying to learn to batch process pictures with photoshop. I am really please with how the unsharp mask helps the noise from the higher ISO. Any suggestions on batch processing tips to enhance sharpness, reduce noice and adjust levels & color are welcome. I have used photoshop for years in my printing trade but never learned it's full potential for use with photography. Also are any of you using Nikon's Picture Project? Particularly the D-lighting adjustment?

you hit the nail on its head.
USCIS online processing for EAD and AP is delayed by 2 to 3 months compared to paper filing. Online filing was to make it transparent, expedite the process. It is working exactly opposite.

The indian consulate in NY states that one can apply for a renewal a year before his/her passport expires. Check out this link.

Not sure about H1B, but I know this that she has to get give some certification exams for the state that she wants to practice from. A friend's wife got a certification done and then she worked in the US, and her employer filed for her GC and the GC was approved in 6 months in 2006. They are from India. I believe the US has a huge need for physiotheraphists and so under some rule/quota they get a GC very fast.
That schedule A category is long gone and PT's from every where are now just EB-3.

I just got my wife's h4 approval letter today but the I-94 does not have any validity period on it, its blank?? Moreover, We received two more i539 approval notices sames as my wifes without any validity period under my wife's name (Applicant)... beneficiary were for two kids age 9,11 totally different last names/Nationality :confused: Are the CSC processing people smoking something:eek:
I will call them tomorrow, I was wondering if anyone else also had this experience, do we have to travel outside the country to get I-94 stamped? my H1B approval has not arrived yet but the status online says approved. Our old I-94 on the passport have already expired, will that be a problem?
I just called the service center 800 number, the lady told me that if i feel it is CSC mistake i should make an infopass appointment else file I102. I would like to know if i have to travel back to my home country to get the I-94 stamped with the validity period on it or is it just a mistake on CSC part? ANY ONE in similar situation please help.

A friend of mine has got 221G from the New Delhi consulate. He works directly for the company there is no client involved here. The consulate has requested the details of every single employee of the company along with their immigration status. My friend is trying to get that information from the employer.
Any suggestion at this point????
I don't think consulate ask details of all employees if size is 5k or more. Further more you can tell officer that it is impossible to get wage details of all employee. I hear some time some desi companies gives w2 of all employees etc.. would consular officer show his/her w2 ? but since our desi companies feeding what they need , they ask what ever...

We are in a similar situation . My wife had an EB3 approved I-140 with PD Apr 2004. She got her new EB2 I-140 approved with PD Dec 2006. I have opened a service request ... no update . Sent a letter to Ombudsman. No response yet. I am thinking of pursuing with the local senator.
The lawyer says that USCIS is treating these cases in the general I-140 queue and therefore may take about a yr to resolve.

Even though receipts are generated based on received date, I assume they will process by priority date , if not what is use of priority date after filing I-485?

The document you have reffered is -->EXTENSION OF REGISTRATION PERIOD

It is required of all irrespective of citizenship status to respond to a Jury summons. Not responding is considered contempt of court. The court can issue an arrest warrant for you..Always respond to the Jury summons....

Any non-profit institution which engages in research/ collaboration with an university is H1b-cap exempt. Also H1B cap-exemption is possible if you work at a non-profit/ university, but not paid by it (e.g. paid by some other company).
My wife came from India 2 months ago. She has a degree in biostatistics and is in a similar situation. If you would like to get in touch, let us know.
